the fruits of true sorrow
will not pass me freed,
for it bears my life so well.
i could not resist their taste.
what events this world has shunned,
that in my life, has wakened.
neither will of heart be tested,
nor dreams be called true.
i am the dreary shade of life
that walked on empty lands of gray
and crept towards the finite horizon,
only to die at the light of tomorrow.
in the sleepy corners of the subconscious
i cling at the very essence of fate.
slowly fading from the arms of time,
as my life drowns in necessary oblivion.
where is now the hope that held me?
or has the impervious light burned out?
for once solid belief it stood before,
now, is one with the darkness.
i am now the day that was forgotten,
reduced to a memory that will never return.
and the dim light that has kept me warm,
slowly dies and fades away with my being.
will not pass me freed,
for it bears my life so well.
i could not resist their taste.
what events this world has shunned,
that in my life, has wakened.
neither will of heart be tested,
nor dreams be called true.
i am the dreary shade of life
that walked on empty lands of gray
and crept towards the finite horizon,
only to die at the light of tomorrow.
in the sleepy corners of the subconscious
